Are you planning to travel to German-speaking countries? And when you're travelling, do you love being able to communicate with locals? Or do you simply want to learn how to sing to those Rammstein songs? In any case, this workation is ideal for you!
We welcome you to the German speaking part of Switzerland, in one of the eleventh car-free towns of the country. Up in the mountains you will learn the language known for its big words. Our teaching is done not only through classes but through cultural experiences. We provide the best teachers and a coliving space where you can work and study. You will have time, space and the best working conditions.
For one or more weeks you can start learning German or improve quickly if you've already started. During this period, the Adrenalin Backpackers Hostel will be a friendly school. Das ist eine einmalige Chance!

A workation is exactly how it sounds — working while on vacation (work + vacation = workation). It is also called a 'workoliday' or 'woliday'.
It's a combination of business and leisure: sending emails and hitting targets in the middle of the mountains, while stunning hikes and other activities can make you feel rejuvenated.

The nearest airport to our coliving is the Zurich airport.
By train
From Zurich airport, take the train to the main train station in Zurich (Zürich Hauptbahnhof). From the station, take the train to Linthal and get off at Linthal Braunwaldbahn. At that station you can take the funicular up the mountain. The coliving is a mere 3 minutes walk from the funicular station. You can buy all your tickets on the SBB/CFF (the Swiss rail company).
By car
Braunwald is a car-free village! As we are up in the mountains, the only way to reach the village is through the funicular, so if you decide to come by car, you can leave it at the Linthal Braunwaldbahn station. However, remember to include the parking expenses in your travel budget.
By train
From Zurich airport, take the train to the main train station in Zurich (Zürich Hauptbahnhof). From the station, take the train to Linthal and get off at Linthal Braunwaldbahn. We celebrate community cooking. That means, that we cook together and eat together. Included in the program, there are group dinners every night from Monday to Friday.
During the day, the kitchen is available for you to use as you please. Just remember to keep the space clean.
Need to buy groceries? There is a kiosk and two small shops in the village. If you take the funicular down, there is a supermarket in Linthal. For larger groceries, we recommend going to Glarus (you take the funicular down and there is a train that takes you straight there) as it offers a variety of supermarkets to choose from right next to the train station.
But if you're hungry and don't have time to cook, there are a few restaurants in the village. Just one street above us there is Café Bsint, that will gladly welcome you for a cup of coffee or a warm pastry. There will be plenty of opportunities to discover local cuisine!

Excursions are included on the Intensive learning package. They are all about discovering the cultural diversity of the region: trying out local Swiss food at a restaurant in the village, visiting a farm and milking a cow, going on a wine/cheese tasting, and many more options.
